I’m Gemma and I am a stand for women overcoming people pleasing so they can become self assured in their emotions, communication and relationships - without fighting against themselves!

In the past,
I felt conflicted at how to move through emotions and have honest conversations.
I was exhausted from surface level quick fixes.
Like you, I tried so many things..
3 years of traditional therapy - I learnt my problems inside out, yet still had no solution
More discipline - leaving me feeling as if I’d never done enough
Positivity coaching and affirmations - but they asked me to ignore certain emotions and thoughts
I even tried giving up and pretending I didn’t care - only to feel numb and completely void of excitement
After all of this (plus more) I found myself feeling lost, defeated, and asking “wtf is wrong with me!?”
So I reflected on all these things I had tried until this point..
My intentions were pure and I was pouring my heart and soul into my growth
But the overall approach was coming from my head. I was looking for logical explanations.
I was seeing my emotions and needs as annoying things blocking me from getting what I wanted.
I was constantly fighting against them, trying to micromanage my behaviours like a naughty child who couldn’t be trusted
The more I held back from feeling painful emotions or listening to physical symptoms, the louder they became.
I realised that the real problem was that I kept looking outside of myself for solutions. I didn’t know how to go inwards, be with my emotions and listen to my needs.
I was afraid of what they might ask. I was afraid of getting stuck.
And so I kept distracting myself from the pain, which ironically, would unlock my path forwards.
The real problem was I was refusing to listen to myself. I wasn’t willing
to trust myself.
So I looked at the stories I had about feeling emotions..
They told me I was too sensitive, too inconvenient and not intelligent.
Wow!
I realised that not only did these stories not belong to me, every time I told them they also evoked shame and defeat.
I was allowing these stories to tell me that I needed to hide parts myself.
From here things began to shift - I realised I could either continue using those stories, or I could declare my own.
And so I decided to choose my own.
I decided I was allowed to be me - lovingly speaking what I think and feel
That all parts of me are welcome, even when they feel overwhelming or scary.
I trusted that when painful parts reveal, I am capable of discovering how to move through them.
I realised I can listen to my body’s signals, that my body isn’t against me, it’s actually devoted to showing me the way
I declared that trusting myself in this way is the highest form of success.
And as I did, everything began to make sense..
Choosing patience and courage to feel my emotions, meant I got clear on what they were asking me to pay loving attention to.
Seeing my body as on my team, meant unexplained symptoms like insomnia, bloating and appetite changes became priceless signals, showing me where I was living against myself.
And as I learnt all of this, I knew I couldn’t possibly keep it a secret!
So I began working with other women in this space and their experience was the same.
They began to see
